  • 2 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 cup boiling water
  • 2 cups fresh strawberries, sliced

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a large bowl, combine flour, cocoa powder, sugar, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
  3. Add eggs, milk, oil, and vanilla to the dry ingredients and mix until smooth.
  4. Slowly stir in boiling water until well combined.
  5. Pour the batter into prepared cake pans.
  6. Bake for 30-35 minutes, or until a toothpick comes out clean.
  7. Let the cakes cool before removing from the pans.
  8. Layer with sliced strawberries and chocolate frosting between the cakes.
