  • 4 cups chicken broth
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 cup fresh parsley, chopped
  • 1 tablespoon fresh thyme, chopped

Instructions

  1. In a large pot, combine chicken, carrots, celery, and onion with chicken broth; bring to a boil.
  2. Reduce heat and simmer until chicken is cooked through.
  3. In a mixing bowl, combine flour, baking powder, and salt. Add water gradually to form a dough.
  4. Drop spoonfuls of dough into the simmering broth.
  5. Cover and cook until dumplings are fluffy, about 15 minutes.
  6. Stir in fresh herbs before serving.
