A delicious spiced apple cider donut loaf coated with a crunchy cinnamon sugar crust.

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup apple cider
  • 3/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground nutmeg
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 2 tablespoons cinnamon sugar for crust

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a loaf pan.
  2. In a large bowl, cream together the butter and granulated sugar until light and fluffy.
  3. Add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition.
  4. Stir in the apple cider.
  5. In another bowl, combine flour, baking powder, baking soda, cinnamon, nutmeg, and salt.
  6. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until just incorporated.
  7. Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan and smooth the top.
  8. Sprinkle cinnamon sugar on top.
  9. Bake for 50-60 minutes or until a toothpick inserted comes out clean.
  10. Allow to cool in the pan for 10 minutes before transferring to a wire rack.
