A comforting sausage soup recipe made with turkey bacon and chicken ham.

Ingredients

  • 4 cups chicken broth
  • 1 pound turkey bacon
  • 2 cups diced chicken ham
  • 1 cup chopped onion
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 cups diced carrots
  • 2 cups diced celery
  • 1 teaspoon dried thyme
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 bay leaf

Instructions

  1. In a large pot, cook the turkey bacon over medium heat until crispy. Remove and crumble.
  2. Add onion, garlic, carrots, and celery to the pot. Sauté until softened.
  3. Pour in the chicken broth and add the chicken ham, thyme, black pepper, and bay leaf.
  4. Bring to a boil, then reduce heat and simmer for 20 minutes.
  5. Add crumbled turkey bacon back into the soup, stir, and serve hot.

Notes

  • For added flavor, let the soup sit for a day before serving.
  • Feel free to add your favorite vegetables.
