- 1 medium head of cabbage
- 1 cup cooked lentils
- 1 cup cooked rice
- 1 small onion, diced
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon cumin
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/4 cup fresh parsley, chopped
- 2 cups tomato sauce
- Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Prepare the cabbage by boiling the head in a large pot of water for about 5 minutes, then remove and let cool.
- In a skillet, sauté the onion and garlic until translucent.
- In a large bowl, mix the cooked lentils, rice, sautéed onion and garlic, seasonings, and parsley.
- Remove the cabbage leaves carefully and spoon the mixture into each leaf, rolling tightly.
- Place the rolls seam-side down in a baking dish and cover with tomato sauce.
- Bake for 30-40 minutes, until heated through.
Notes
- For extra flavor, add some cheese to the filling before rolling.
- Garnish with additional parsley before serving.
