Delicious salted caramel apple bars that are perfect for fall.

Ingredients

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 3 cups peeled and sliced apples
  • 1 cup salted caramel sauce

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a baking pan.
  2. In a mixing bowl, beat together the butter and sugars until creamy.
  3. Add the eggs and vanilla, mixing until combined.
  4. In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, and salt.
  5. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined.
  6. Fold in the sliced apples and half of the caramel sauce.
  7. Pour the mixture into the prepared baking pan and spread evenly.
  8. Drizzle the remaining caramel sauce on top.
  9. Bake for 30-35 minutes or until golden brown.
  10. Allow to cool before cutting into bars.

Notes

  • For added flavor, sprinkle some cinnamon on top before baking.
  • Serve with vanilla ice cream for a delicious dessert.
