  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 3 cups peeled, diced apples
  • 1 cup caramel sauce
  • 1/2 teaspoon sea salt

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking pan with parchment paper.
  2. In a mixing bowl, cream together the butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until fluffy.
  3. Add in the vanilla extract and mix well.
  4. In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, salt, and baking soda.
  5. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until combined.
  6. Fold in the diced apples.
  7. Spread half of the mixture into the prepared baking pan.
  8. Drizzle the caramel sauce over the batter.
  9. Drop the remaining batter on top of the caramel in spoonfuls.
  10. Bake for 30-35 minutes or until golden brown.
  11. Sprinkle with sea salt before serving.
