  • 4 cups chicken broth
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 cup milk
  • 1 tablespoon butter
  • 1 cup diced carrots
  • 1 cup diced celery
  • 1/2 cup chopped onion

Instructions

  1. In a large pot, boil the chicken until fully cooked. Remove and shred the meat.
  2. In the same pot, add the broth, carrots, celery, and onion. Bring to a boil.
  3. Make the dumpling batter by mixing flour, baking powder, salt, milk, and butter in a bowl.
  4. Add the shredded chicken back into the pot and drop spoonfuls of dumpling batter on top.
  5. Cover and simmer for 15-20 minutes until dumplings are cooked through.
