  • 2 pounds chicken thighs
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon ground cumin
  • 1 teaspoon ground paprika
  • 1 teaspoon ground turmeric
  • 1 teaspoon ground coriander
  • 1/2 teaspoon cayenne pepper
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 1/4 cup plain yogurt

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, combine the olive oil and all the spices to create a marinade.
  2. Coat the chicken thighs in the marinade thoroughly.
  3. Place the chicken in the slow cooker.
  4. Add lemon juice and yogurt over the chicken.
  5. Cover and cook on low for 6-8 hours or on high for 4 hours.
  6. Once cooked, shred the chicken and serve it with pita and your choice of toppings.
