  • 4 cups fresh corn kernels
  • 4 slices turkey bacon
  • 1 cup diced chicken ham
  • 1 medium onion, chopped
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 4 cups chicken broth
  • 2 cups heavy cream
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 2 tablespoons fresh thyme, chopped

Instructions

  1. In a large pot, cook the turkey bacon over medium heat until crispy. Remove, crumble, and set aside.
  2. In the same pot, sauté the onion and garlic until translucent.
  3. Add the chicken ham and corn, and cook for another 5 minutes.
  4. Pour in the chicken broth and bring to a boil.
  5. Reduce heat, add cream, salt, pepper, and thyme. Simmer for 15 minutes.
  6. Serve hot, garnished with crumbled turkey bacon.

Notes

  • For a thicker chowder, blend a portion of the soup and return it to the pot.
