A delightful and comforting soup that combines the classic flavors of a cheeseburger with a twist of turkey bacon.

  • 1 pound ground turkey
  • 4 slices turkey bacon
  • 1 cup diced onion
  • 3 cups potatoes, diced
  • 3 cups chicken broth
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 cup milk
  • 2 tablespoons flour
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. In a large pot, cook turkey bacon over medium heat until crispy. Remove and set aside.
  2. In the same pot, add ground turkey and cook until browned.
  3. Add diced onion and cook until translucent.
  4. Stir in diced potatoes, chicken broth, garlic powder, and paprika. Bring to a boil, then reduce heat and simmer until potatoes are tender.
  5. In a separate bowl, whisk together flour and milk until smooth, then stir into the pot.
  6. Add shredded cheddar cheese and stir until melted.
  7. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  8. Serve hot, garnished with crumbled turkey bacon.

Notes

  • For a thicker soup, increase the amount of flour used.
  • Feel free to add other vegetables like carrots or bell peppers.
