A comforting pasta dish featuring the savory flavors of caramelized leeks and mushrooms, enhanced with melty gruyere cheese.

Ingredients

  • 2 cups leeks, sliced
  • 1 cup mushrooms, sliced
  • 8 ounces pasta of choice
  • 1 cup gruyere cheese, grated
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon garlic, minced
  • salt to taste
  • pepper to taste
  • 1 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped

Instructions

  1. Cook the pasta according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.
  2. In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat.
  3. Add the leeks and mushrooms. Cook until soft and caramelized, about 10-15 minutes.
  4. Stir in the garlic and cook for an additional minute.
  5. Combine the cooked pasta with the leek and mushroom mixture in the skillet.
  6. Add the gruyere cheese, and mix well until melted and creamy.
  7. Season with salt and pepper.
  8. Serve warm, garnished with fresh parsley.
